Is Popsicle halal?
Popsicle makes no halal claim. The ice pops we checked list no gelatin, carmine or alcohol, and the brand says most of its products are certified kosher.
The longer answer
Popsicle's FAQ (archived copy from September 2026, read October 2026) does not mention halal. It says "most of our products are certified kosher popsicles" and advises checking the box for a kosher symbol. It also says its products are not vegan-certified at this time.
On colors, the FAQ says the colors in products labeled as from natural sources "come from vegetables, seeds, and spices including beets, annatto seeds, and turmeric". The ingredient lists we read for Firecracker, Jolly Rancher pops, Scribblers and the Spider-Man bar are water, corn syrups and sugar with fruit acids, gums, vegetable or beet juice, spirulina and turmeric for color, and natural or artificial flavor. None lists gelatin or carmine.
Fudgsicle No Sugar Added pops, sold under the same brand, list nonfat milk, cocoa, whey, palm oil and mono and diglycerides with no source stated. We found no halal certification claim from Popsicle.
What to check before you order
Check the ingredient list on the box, particularly for creamy or character-shaped varieties. Flavors and mono and diglycerides are listed without a source.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
