Is Quaker Chewy halal?
Quaker Chewy bars carry no halal claim. The S'mores flavor lists gelatin in its marshmallow bits, and every flavor we checked lists glycerin with no source stated.
The longer answer
Quaker's product pages for Chewy Chocolate Chip and S'mores bars (checked October 2026) describe the bars but make no halal, kosher or gelatin statement.
A Giant supermarket listing for the Chewy variety pack gives the ingredient lists. The S'mores bar includes "dehydrated marshmallow bits (sugar, corn syrup, modified corn starch, gelatin, natural flavor, sodium hexametaphosphate)". The animal source of the gelatin is not stated. The Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin bars in the same pack list no gelatin.
All four flavors list glycerin, and the listing does not say whether it is plant or animal derived. This is a retailer's copy of the label, not a company statement. We found no halal certification from Quaker for Chewy bars.
What to check before you order
Avoid S'mores and any flavor with marshmallow unless a halal gelatin source is confirmed, and watch variety packs that include it. Ask Quaker about the glycerin source if that matters to you.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
