Is Raisin Bran halal?

No halal claim

Kellogg's Raisin Bran lists no gelatin or other meat ingredients, but WK Kellogg makes no halal claim and the cereal is not halal certified.

The longer answer

The ingredient list WK Kellogg publishes for Kellogg's Raisin Bran (checked October 2026) is whole grain wheat, raisins, wheat bran, sugar and brown sugar syrup, with 2% or less of malt flavor, salt and iron. No gelatin is listed.

Raisin Bran Crunch has a longer list that adds rice, whole grain oats, vegetable glycerin, corn syrup, natural flavor, palm oil, cinnamon and honey. It also lists no gelatin.

WK Kellogg's FAQ says gelatin is used in its products with frosting and marshmallows and "may be from pork or beef". Neither Raisin Bran list includes it. We found no halal claim or certification from WK Kellogg. Post also sells a Raisin Bran, which we did not check.

What to check before you order

Check which company made the box, Kellogg's or Post, and read that ingredient list. Look for gelatin on any frosted or flavored version.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
