Is Red Vines halal?
Red Vines Original Red Twists are listed by the maker as Etimad Halal certified, and the company says Red Vines contain no animal products.
The longer answer
American Licorice Company's product page for Red Vines Original Red Licorice Twists (checked October 2026) shows Star-K Kosher and Etimad Halal under its certifications and says: "RED VINES candy is fat free, low sodium, and Kosher & Halal certified".
The Red Vines website's certifications page also lists Etimad Halal alongside Star-K, and its FAQ states: "Red Vines products do not contain any animal products."
We confirmed the halal mark on the Original Red product page only. We did not check every Red Vines variety, such as sugar free or chocolate covered products, and we did not look up the certificate on the certifier's own site.
What to check before you order
Look for the halal mark on the pack, particularly for varieties other than Original Red Twists. The product page for each item lists its certifications.
