Is Skittles halal?
Original Skittles in the US list no gelatin, but they carry no halal certification, and Skittles Gummies do contain gelatin.
The longer answer
The ingredient list on Skittles' US website for Original Skittles is sugar, corn syrup, hydrogenated palm kernel oil, citric acid, tapioca dextrin, modified corn starch, natural and artificial flavors, colors, sodium citrate and carnauba wax. No gelatin is listed.
Skittles Gummies are different: their official ingredient list includes gelatin, and the animal source is not stated on the product page.
We found no halal certification claim from Skittles or its maker Mars Wrigley for the US products.
What to check before you order
Read the ingredient list on the exact pack. Avoid the Gummies and any variety listing gelatin unless a halal source is confirmed. "Natural flavors" are not broken down on the label.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
