Is Teddy Grahams halal?

No halal claim

Teddy Grahams have no halal certification in the US. The Honey and Chocolate varieties list no gelatin, animal fat, dairy or egg, though both list natural flavor.

The longer answer

Mondelez's Snackworks site (checked October 2026) lists Teddy Grahams Honey as whole grain wheat flour, unbleached enriched flour, sugar, canola oil, honey, calcium carbonate, maltodextrin, baking soda, salt, soy lecithin and natural flavor. The Chocolate variety swaps in cocoa and chocolate. Both allergen lines name wheat and soy only.

No gelatin, lard, dairy or egg appears on either list. The natural flavor is not broken down.

Mondelez's corporate halal page says it considers religious requirements such as halal by market, that certification is handled through outside agencies, and that consumers should check the ingredients and label. We found no halal certification for Teddy Grahams in the US.

What to check before you order

We checked Honey and Chocolate only. Read the list on other flavors and on any variety pack before buying.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
