Is Toaster Strudel halal?
Pillsbury Toaster Strudel lists no gelatin in the flavors we checked, but it makes no halal claim and lists mono and diglycerides with no source stated.
The longer answer
Pillsbury's website (checked October 2026) lists Strawberry Toaster Strudel as enriched bleached flour, water, palm and/or soybean oil, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup and dextrose, with 2% or less of starches, hydrogenated palm oil, salt, yeast, modified whey, mono and diglycerides, strawberry juice concentrate, preservatives, gums, polysorbate 60, natural and artificial flavor and colors.
No gelatin is listed for the Strawberry, Cream Cheese & Strawberry or Cinnamon Roll flavors, and the pages do not mention gelatin anywhere.
The lists do include mono and diglycerides and polysorbate 60, and Pillsbury does not state whether these come from plant or animal fat. The pages make no halal statement, and we found no halal certification for Toaster Strudel.
What to check before you order
Read the ingredient list for your flavor, including the icing packet. The source of the mono and diglycerides is not on the label, so ask General Mills if that matters to you.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
