Is Warheads halal?

No halal claim

Warheads says some chewy products, including Lil' Worms and Ooze Chewz, use gelatin derived from beef. It does not claim the beef is halal.

The longer answer

The Warheads FAQ (checked October 2026) states: "Currently, our WARHEADS Lil' Worms, Ooze Chewz, and Care Bears Sour Grumpy Bears are made with gelatin derived from beef." It adds that the company's Melster Circus Peanuts also contain this gelatin, and that "Our products are not Kosher, vegetarian, or vegan certified."

The FAQ names only those products as containing gelatin. It does not say whether the beef gelatin comes from halal slaughtered animals, and it makes no halal statement at all. The same answer appears on the site of the maker, Impact Confections.

We did not read an ingredient list for the Extreme Sour hard candy during this check. The FAQ lists the acids used in it as ascorbic, citric, lactic and malic acid.

What to check before you order

Check the pack for gelatin, especially on worms, chews and gummies. Beef gelatin with no halal certification is the issue here, so the label alone will not settle it.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
