Is Welch's Fruit Snacks halal?
Welch's says its main Fruit Snacks use pork or beef gelatin, and names three other products as halal compliant.
The longer answer
The Welch's Fruit Snacks FAQ (checked October 2026) states: "We use either pork or beef gelatin in the production of Welch's Fruit Snacks, Welch's Juicefuls and Welch's Fusions." The same answer lists Absolute Fruitfuls Fruit Strips, Fruit 'n Yogurt Snacks, Probiotic Yogofruits and Fruit Rolls as free of animal-derived gelatin. It says the products that are "Halal compliant" are Absolute Fruitfuls Fruit Strips, Probiotic Yogofruits and Fruit Rolls. The FAQ names no halal certifier, so this is the maker's own statement and not a certification.
What to check before you order
Check which Welch's product is in your hand: the standard Fruit Snacks, Juicefuls and Fusions pouches contain pork or beef gelatin. For the three products called halal compliant, look for a certifier's mark on the box or ask the maker.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
