Vitamins and personal care
Is Ritual halal?
Ritual's multivitamins are labeled vegan and use a plant-based capsule with no gelatin, but Ritual does not claim halal certification for its finished products.
The longer answer
Ritual's Essential for Women multivitamin page (checked October 2026) labels the product vegan. The capsule is listed as a "stomach acid-resistant vegan capsule (hypromellose, gellan gum)", and gelatin does not appear in the ingredients. The omega-3 DHA comes from microalgae and the vitamin D3 from lichen, which the page describes as "Vegan-certified D3 from lichen".
The product page does not mention halal or kosher. The only halal reference we found on Ritual's site is in an interview with Balchem, the supplier of its zinc, where the supplier says of its ingredient: "Our product is also kosher, halal, vegan-friendly and non-GMO." That describes one raw ingredient from one supplier, not Ritual's finished vitamins.
We found no halal certification for any Ritual product.
What to check before you order
The capsules are plant-based, so pork or beef gelatin is not the issue here. If certification matters to you, note that Ritual's pages show vegan claims only and no halal logo.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
