Is Atkins Ranch halal?
Atkins Ranch says all of its lamb is verified halal by a recognized authority, but its website does not name the certifier.
The longer answer
Atkins Ranch, a New Zealand grass-fed lamb brand sold in US stores, has a page explaining its certifications (checked October 2026). Under the heading "Halal Verified" it says: "All Atkins Ranch lamb products are verified halal by a recognized authority to meet strict Islamic dietary and ethical standards."
The same page names the bodies behind its other claims, including Global Animal Partnership Step 4, Non-GMO Project and Land to Market, but it does not name the halal authority. The brand's FAQ page does not mention halal or slaughter method at all.
We could not find a halal certificate or the name of the certifier on the Atkins Ranch site, and it does not say whether the animals are stunned before slaughter.
What to check before you order
Look for a halal mark and certifier name on the pack. If the certifier or the slaughter method matters to you, ask Atkins Ranch which authority verifies its lamb, since the website does not say.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
