Grocery and meat
Is Boxed Halal halal?
Boxed Halal says its meat is zabiha, hand-cut and certified by the Halal Food Standards Alliance of America (HFSAA).
The longer answer
Boxed Halal's certification page (checked October 2026) states: "Our meat products are certified by the Halal Food Standards Alliance of America (HFSAA)" and says it exclusively offers zabiha hand-cut meat. The page says all of its facilities have been inspected and approved by HFSAA for processing, packing and labeling halal meat, poultry and lamb. Its home page describes the meat as hand slaughtered and delivered to the door. We did not check HFSAA's own directory for a matching entry.
What to check before you order
Look for the HFSAA mark on the package, and ask the company for the current certificate if you want to confirm a specific product.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
