Is ButcherBox halal?

No halal claim

ButcherBox makes no halal claim. Its help center returns no results for halal, and the service also sells pork alongside beef and chicken.

The longer answer

We searched the ButcherBox Help Center for "halal" in October 2026 and it returned "No results". The company's Sourcing page also does not mention halal, halal slaughter or any halal certifier.

ButcherBox describes itself on the help center as delivering "100% grass-fed beef, free range organic chicken and heritage breed pork". So pork is part of the range and is packed by the same service.

We found no halal statement from ButcherBox for any of its products.

What to check before you order

Nothing in a ButcherBox order is labeled halal. If you need zabiha meat by mail, use a service that names its halal certifier.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
