Is Campbell's halal?

No halal claim

Campbell's makes no halal claim for its US soups. Many contain chicken, beef or pork: Bean With Bacon lists bacon, pork stock and lard, and the meat is not halal certified.

The longer answer

Campbell's US website lists ingredients for each soup. The Bean With Bacon condensed soup page (checked October 2026) lists bacon, dried pork stock, lard and pork. Cream of Chicken lists chicken stock, chicken meat, chicken fat and dried chicken, along with cream, whey and butter.

Campbell's US FAQ page does not mention halal, and we found no halal certification for any US Campbell's soup. That means the chicken and beef in its soups cannot be assumed to be halal slaughtered.

Soups without meat still need a label check, because stocks, fats and flavorings vary from one variety to the next. We did not read the full list for every soup.

What to check before you order

Read the full ingredient list, not just the soup name: look for chicken or beef stock, chicken fat, bacon, pork and lard, which also turn up in vegetable and bean soups.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
