Is Chomps halal?

No halal claim

Chomps makes no halal claim. The beef stick we checked lists no pork and every flavor uses a beef casing, including turkey, but nothing is halal certified.

The longer answer

Chomps' FAQ page (checked October 2026) lists many certifications and diet labels, such as Certified Gluten-Free, Whole30 Approved and Certified Paleo. Halal is not among them, and the page does not mention halal at all. We also found no halal article in the Chomps help center.

On ingredients, the Original Beef product page lists grass fed and finished beef, sea salt, celery, cherry, black pepper, red pepper, garlic and coriander. The FAQ says the beef is "sourced from both international and domestic farms" and that the sticks skip "fillers like pork byproducts".

The casing is beef on all sticks. A help center article explains: "We still use the beef casings on all of our Chomps sticks because other casings (i.e. vegetarian casings) do not meet our Whole30 and, potentially, our non-GMO requirements." That means the turkey and chicken sticks also contain beef casing. Nothing on these pages says the beef, poultry or casings come from halal slaughter.

What to check before you order

The Chomps ingredient list we read shows no pork, but there is no halal mark on the pack. If you need certified halal meat snacks, look for a brand that names its certifier.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
