Is Daisy halal?
Daisy makes no halal claim. Its sour cream is described as one ingredient, cultured cream, and its cottage cheese as milk, cream and salt, with no gelatin mentioned.
The longer answer
Daisy's FAQ page (checked October 2026) does not mention halal, kosher, enzymes or gelatin. We found no halal certification claim on the Daisy site.
The products themselves are short on ingredients. Daisy's sour cream page says the product starts "with only one ingredient: cultured cream." Its cottage cheese page says: "Our Cottage Cheese starts with only 3 ingredients: milk, cream, and salt." The FAQ adds that the production machinery "is only used to run milk-based products."
Daisy also sells Light Sour Cream and cottage cheese cups with fruit, which have longer ingredient lists that we did not read in full.
What to check before you order
Regular Daisy sour cream and plain cottage cheese list only dairy ingredients and salt. Read the label on the Light and fruit varieties, which have added ingredients.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
