Grocery and meat
Is Hebrew National halal?
Hebrew National franks are all beef and sold as kosher, with no pork. The brand makes no halal claim, and kosher is not the same as halal certification.
The longer answer
Hebrew National's product page for Beef Franks (checked October 2026) describes them as "Made with 100% kosher beef" with no artificial flavors, no artificial colors and "No fillers or by-products". The brand's story page repeats the "100% Kosher Beef" claim. The site groups its products under Kosher Beef Franks and Kosher Deli Meats.
We found no mention of halal on the product page or the story page, and no halal certifier is named. The claim the company makes is a kosher one.
Whether kosher beef is acceptable is a question on which Muslims differ, and we leave that to the reader. What can be said from the company's pages is that the franks are beef, contain no pork, and are not halal certified.
What to check before you order
Expect a kosher mark, not a halal one, on the pack. If you only eat meat with halal certification, this brand does not offer it.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
