Grocery and meat
Is HelloFresh halal?
HelloFresh makes no halal claim in the US. Its FAQ does not mention halal. You can set a No Pork preference, but the meat is not halal certified.
The longer answer
HelloFresh's US FAQ (checked October 2026) does not contain the word halal. The diet options it describes are things like vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian.
The FAQ does describe a Food Profile setting: "Whether you're looking for No Pork, No Fish, or Pescatarian options, we'll make sure your automatic meal picks align perfectly with your lifestyle." It adds that you still have access to the full weekly menu. This steers which recipes are picked for you. It says nothing about how the chicken or beef is slaughtered.
The weekly menu page we checked includes several pork recipes and does not mention halal. We found no halal statement or certifier from HelloFresh for its US meal kits.
What to check before you order
The No Pork setting only filters recipes. The meat itself carries no halal certification, so the options are vegetarian, vegan or fish recipes, checking each ingredient list for wine, mirin or other alcohol.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
