Is Jack Link's halal?

No halal claim

Jack Link's FAQ says products sold in the United States and Canada "are not certified Halal or Kosher." Some varieties also contain pork.

The longer answer

Jack Link's answers the question in its FAQ (checked October 2026). Under "ARE YOUR PRODUCTS HALAL OR KOSHER?" it says: "Halal and Kosher certification is product/ingredient-specific and can vary depending on the location of the product/ingredient source. For products sold in the United States and Canada, the products are not certified Halal or Kosher."

It adds that outside the United States and Canada, "the best way to find if a Jack Link's product is Halal or Kosher is to check the back of the package." That applies to products made for other markets, not to what is sold in US stores.

The same FAQ says the company makes meat snacks from "100% beef, turkey, chicken or pork", and its US range includes a bacon jerky. So some products contain pork, and the beef and poultry ones are not from a certified halal supply.

What to check before you order

In the US, no Jack Link's product is halal certified. Abroad, check the back of the pack for a halal mark, and do not assume a pack bought overseas matches the US version.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
