Is Jimmy Dean halal?

No

Jimmy Dean's core product is pork sausage. It also sells a turkey sausage roll with no pork listed, but nothing in the range carries a halal claim.

The longer answer

Jimmy Dean's product page for Country Mild Premium Pork Sausage (checked October 2026) lists the ingredients as pork, water and 2% or less of corn syrup, pork broth, salt, spices, vinegar, monosodium glutamate and natural flavor. Pork sausage is the brand's main line, and the site also lists bacon, breakfast sandwiches and bowls, which we did not check one by one.

The brand also sells a Premium Turkey Sausage Roll. Its page lists turkey, water and 2% or less of corn syrup, natural flavors, salt, sugar and vinegar, with no pork. The page makes no halal claim and does not say how the turkey is slaughtered. It notes the product uses "the same signature seasoning as our classic pork sausage".

We found no halal statement or certifier on the Jimmy Dean pages we read.

What to check before you order

Most Jimmy Dean products contain pork, so read the ingredient list on each one. The turkey sausage lists no pork but has no halal certification.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
