Is K&N's halal?
Yes. K&N's Foods USA says its chicken is hand-cut halal, assessed by Halal Monitoring Services (HMS) and RACS Halal. The certificate on its site is dated 2024.
The longer answer
K&N's sells frozen chicken products in the US (kababs, breaded items, frankfurters and cold cuts) made at its plant in Fulton, New York. Its US Certification page (checked October 2026) says: "K&N's manufacturing procedures have been investigated and assessed by Halal Monitoring Services (HMS) and RACS Halal for Hand-Cut Halal Certification."
The HMS certificate image posted on that page names K&N's Foods USA, 607 Phillips St, Fulton, NY, says it is inspected "to provide only hand-slaughtered halal" chicken, and shows an expiration date of December 31, 2024. We did not find a newer certificate on the site and did not check the certifiers' own listings.
The US FAQ says the company uses "hand-cut Halal certified chicken as the main ingredient in our products". The parent company's Pakistan site says chickens are "Halal slaughtered by hand", which describes its operations there, not the US plant.
What to check before you order
Look for the HMS or RACS Halal mark on the US pack. The certificate shown online has an expired date, so check the certifier's current list or ask K&N's for the latest certificate if you want confirmation.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
