Is Knorr halal?
Knorr makes no halal claim in the US. Its FAQ says it cannot guarantee whether gelatin in its products comes from beef or pork, and many products contain chicken or beef.
The longer answer
Knorr's US FAQ (checked October 2026) has an Animal Derived section. On gelatin it says: "We cannot guarantee whether it is from beef or pork." It also says: "At this time Knorr does not have a line of vegetarian products. However, there are some meatless products such as Knorr Vegetarian Vegetable Bouillon Cubes."
Knorr's US range includes chicken and beef bouillons, gravy mixes and rice and pasta sides with chicken flavors. The FAQ gives no halal information for the meat ingredients, and says only that kosher products carry a kosher symbol on the pack.
We found no halal statement or halal certification for Knorr products sold in the US. We could not read full ingredient lists on Knorr's product pages, so this entry rests on the FAQ. Knorr products made for other countries are different and are not covered here.
What to check before you order
Read each pack for gelatin, chicken fat, beef fat, beef extract and meat powders. A US Knorr pack with no halal mark should not be assumed halal, even if the same product name is halal abroad.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
