Grocery and meat
Is Nema Halal halal?
Nema Halal is a halal meat company and says its meat products are certified by NAHF, ICNA and ICP.
The longer answer
Nema Halal's About Us page (checked October 2026) states: "Our meat products are certified by NAHF, ICNA and ICP." The company says it was founded in 2001, is headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, and that its plant has slaughtering and processing under one roof. Its "What's Zabiha?" page describes slaughter requirements in general terms. The site gives only the initials of the three bodies, and we did not find the certificates themselves or check a certifier's own listing.
What to check before you order
Check the package for the certifier's mark, and ask Nema or the retailer for the current certificate if you want to confirm which body covers a specific product.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
