Is Oscar Mayer halal?

No

Oscar Mayer's Classic Wieners list pork as an ingredient. Its all-beef franks contain no pork but carry no halal claim or certification.

The longer answer

Oscar Mayer's product page for Classic Wieners (checked October 2026) says they "are made with chicken, turkey and pork" and lists the ingredients as mechanically separated chicken, mechanically separated turkey, pork, water, corn syrup and less than 2% of salt, sodium phosphate, potassium chloride, sodium diacetate, sodium benzoate, sodium ascorbate, flavor and sodium nitrite.

The Bun-Length Beef Franks are different. Their ingredient list is beef, water, dextrose and less than 2% of salt, potassium lactate, corn syrup, sodium phosphate, sodium diacetate, sodium ascorbate, dried garlic, paprika oleoresin, black pepper and sodium nitrite. No pork is listed. The product page makes no halal claim, and nothing on it says the beef is from halal slaughter.

The brand's range also includes bacon, beef and pork franks, and turkey franks. We found no halal statement on the Oscar Mayer pages we read.

What to check before you order

Read the ingredient list on the exact pack: the classic wieners contain pork. The beef and turkey franks list no pork but are not halal certified, so look for a certified halal brand if slaughter matters to you.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
