Is Pilgrim's halal?

No halal claim

Pilgrim's makes no halal claim on its US consumer website. Its FAQ does not mention halal, and a site search for halal finds nothing.

The longer answer

The FAQ page on Pilgrim's US website (checked October 2026) covers where to buy, ingredients and what the chickens are fed. It does not mention halal, slaughter method or any religious certification.

A search for "halal" on the same site returns "Nothing Found". We found no halal statement and no named certifier for Pilgrim's retail chicken in the US.

The consumer site is the only Pilgrim's source we read. It does not say anything about chicken supplied to restaurants or other buyers.

What to check before you order

Check the package for a halal certifier's mark; we found none claimed for Pilgrim's retail products. If a restaurant tells you its Pilgrim's chicken is halal, ask to see the certificate for that supply.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
