Is Thomas Farms halal?

Halal, per the brand

Thomas Farms says all of its products are certified Zabihah Halal, though its US site names no certifier and also lists pork products.

The longer answer

Thomas Farms is the consumer brand of Australian meat company Thomas Foods International. The FAQ on its US site (checked October 2026) asks "Are your products Halal? What type of Halal?" and answers: "All of our products are certified Zabihah Halal! Contact us for more information on our Halal products." It says the beef and lamb come from Southern Australia.

The site does not name the halal certifier or show a certificate. The same US site has a Pork category in its product menu and lists pork items, which sits oddly beside the statement that all products are halal. The lamb product page we opened did not mention halal.

At retail, Sam's Club lists "Thomas Farms Frenched Rack of Lamb Halal Certified", again without naming the certifier. The parent company's Australian lamb page does not mention halal.

What to check before you order

Check the pack for a halal mark and the certifier's name. The halal statement plainly cannot cover the brand's pork products, so read it as applying to lamb, beef and goat and confirm on the label.

How we decide

We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
