Grocery and meat
Is Wegmans halal?
It depends on the store. Wegmans brand meat carries no halal claim, and halal meat is reported only at selected stores, so check your own location.
The longer answer
We searched wegmans.com for "halal" and "halal chicken" in October 2026, with the site set to a store in Erie, Pennsylvania. The site offers a "Halal" filter, but no product with halal in its name appeared for that store, and the "halal chicken" search returned ordinary Wegmans chicken such as "Wegmans Organic Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts" with no halal wording.
Zabihah.com, a community halal directory, says in its Fairfax, Virginia listing that "Selected Wegmans stores offer fresh halal meat, including this location", and marks the store "Partially halal" on the basis of staff assurance and a certificate on file. The listing does not name the brand or the certifier. That is a community listing, not a statement from Wegmans.
We found no halal statement from Wegmans itself.
What to check before you order
Set your store on wegmans.com and use the Halal filter, or ask the meat department which halal brand they stock. Buy only packs that carry a halal certification mark. Wegmans brand chicken and beef are not labeled halal.
How we decide
We only report what the company or its certifier has said publicly, and we link to it below. We do not test food, and we do not take a brand’s word from a single franchise. If a location tells you something different from this page, trust the location and tell us.
